Releasing the Negativity: How to Shine Positively in 2018
As a health coach, one of the most common things I see is negativity. You’ve come to me for help in your health program so I want to help you change the biggest thing that stands between you and your weight management success: negativity.
I’m not saying you need to be a ball of sunshine every day of your life, but it’s time to look in the mirror and show yourself some love. So many of us feel our worth and our value is contingent upon how we look. When we look in the mirror and we don’t like what we see, we create negativity. We think we’re not attractive enough, we’re not good enough, and no one will like us. STOP IT!
Do you know that some of the most successful people have all felt this way at one point or another? You may look at another person and feel envious of how they look. Maybe they’re fit and healthy-looking, smiling as they jog by but what you don’t know is that they probably had their own struggles. Working hard to get there is never easy but we’ve got to start at square one.
And what’s that, you might be wondering?
That’s right. You’ve got to let it go in order to get rid of the negativity. If you can, imagine your negative thoughts and feelings like balloons. Every time you catch yourself thinking a negative thought about yourself, I want you to take one of those balloons and let it go. Set yourself free from that negativity and let the positive light come in.
Learn to appreciate the person you are. I guarantee the people in your life are in it because you are you. They don’t care how you look, though they probably do care a great deal about your health. And that’s why I’m here. To help you get into a health program that you can manage yourself so that you can look back at this point where you let off all those balloons of negativity and see the positive changes you’ve made.
With every balloon you imagine yourself releasing, you’ll feel yourself healing inside. That goes a long way to your outer appearance. Remember that the mind, body and spirit are all intertwined so don’t just focus on powering through your workouts or eating healthy foods. Change your mind and you’ll see you’re really changing your life.
